Old Frames and Nature Collide

Last year we used tree branches as curtain rods for the kids' tree house. Since then, I've been thinking about doing something like that in our house - not necessarily curtain rods, but using branches in some way.

I decided to make a wall hanging to go over our bed. I can't decide what kind of headboard I want, so we don't have one!

I collected some Goodwill frames that I liked  the shape and size of -

Here we are after a little hammered spray paint, hooks, and canvas strips-

Our bedroom is a work in progress - it's always the room that is NEVER pulled together! I'm using a lot of nature in here. Hubby likes turkey hunting, so I'm trying to work in some of his things too - stay tuned!

Linking to some great parties!

I love it!Great.great idea! Branches are so unique and refreshing. I saw a picture that someone did using tree branches to support a book shelf.Although I think the shelf was a floating one that was already screwed in the wall. Anyway if you ever want to see it,I would be happy to show you.

We have a Camo bedroom with deer & wildlife right now cause when I got married I said " you can choose decor for one room in the house"....... Now I'm using the excuse that I like to change the bedroom every so often and I bored with it but in all honest I HATE it!!

I really like the organic look going on here. Our bedroom is always the last to get any attention - partly because the husband doesn't get very excited about some of my ideas - but I think he might "get" this! Besides, around our yard and in our woods, we've got all the sticks anyone could want!

Isn't that the truth about the bedroom. It's always the last to be decorated. I love this look and I've never seen anything like it, which is a bonus! Great job! Thanks so much for linking up to Terrific Under Ten!

ooooo super cute! I think I want to do this! I'm looking for new ideas for the addition we're putting on. LOVE IT! Maybe I'll add my kids pics to the frames... I love to see their little smiles in each room. :)

Mandy, that is so gorgeous! I LOVE how it turned out, and how it is so original. This is an inspiring idea! :)

I also want to say thank you so much for your kind words about the chandelier, and for leaving an opinion on faucet handles. Sometimes there is such a thing as too many choices, so it was nice to get opinions on this one! :)

Well, now my mind is busing thinking of how to incorporate your fantastic twig/branch idea into my house! Yep, you got a lot of us thinking! :)

I sure hope you had a fun weekend!

Blessings,
Jenni
