Doing a Little Chalkboarding

No, I haven't invented a new sport!

Over the last couple of months, I've been turning everything around here into a chalkboard. I think it's the black and white color combo that I like so much! I prefer the real deal over the markers when it comes to chalk  - just a personal preference!

I've done several cutting board chalkboards lately. The latest one-

Sweet little vintage button-

So are you doing any chalkboarding? I'd love to know what's being turned into a chalkboard at your house!

I love this Mandy! I made a free standing rooster chalkboard a few months back. I drew my rooster freehand and had hubby cut it out of a piece of wood for me. We then attached him to a dowel and attached that to a wooden plaque. He turned out really good!

Great idea using a cutting board. I love your hand painted Today's Special.
I have painted clay pots with burlap tops. They make great gifts.
I need to learn how to link.

Oh, I love your little chalkboard cutting board! What a great idea, too! I love the little button accent that you added to it...And I completely understand about turning every thing into chalkboards! My husband has said to me more than once~ "Do we really need more chalkboards? ;) He cracks me up! He's right, we probably don't, but I agree about the whole black and white color concept~ it's gorgeous! :)

And by the way, I love your new sink and faucet~ they look beautiful! And is that a board and batten back splash? That and your sweet window shelf look so cute! (I meant to tell you before when you showed your kitchen on your contentment post, how much I love your kitchen!) :)

I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

I have gone mad for chalkboards too! I made tags, signs and chalkboards in vintage frames... I even made chalkboard garden stakes to put in my herbs! I am not done either! I am always looking for more items to transform! love your chopping board, especially that gorgeous button! X

Good morning Mandy, I came over from Becky's post to wish you good luck with your new Etsy shop. Your chalk board is terrific. I have seen many projects making chalkboards but have never owned one. I don't know how I survived without one when I was bringing up my darling five children. Smile.

Happy Sunday to you today.
Blessings, Jeanne
